At the onset of 64 Independence Day the question which comes to the mind is are we free ? just look around yourself have the things changed after independence. India is still poor , the rich are getting richer and the poorer getting more poorer day by day. What has happened to the feeling of patriotism ? We the Indians who have fought the way out from the British for Independence now just remember our country on just two occasions. Is the free holiday is what left of the feeling of Patriotism? Just a month back we lost two of our best pilots and so many sons of the country lost their life on the line of duty in Kashmir and North east , for what ? just think of the fact that the money which the country has lost to filthy politicians could have been given for the benefits of the martyrs. Nobody remembers the national hero except there families, cause we Indians have lost the feeling for this country. Who are actually celebrating Independence day the people who are sleeping in their bed or the brave hearts who are defying all odds to make this independence day an incidence free day. Wish there wouldn't have been so much corruption and we could have bought better and sophisticated instruments for the armed forces so that many life can be saved, many families can have bright future. Just imagine a part of the CWG scam or the 2G scam could have made lives of so many families who have lost there sons to this nation could have been given a greater pensions and facilities. It's not that i am only speaking for the welfare of the armed forces and forgetting the common man. Think what have we done to stop the terrorists after the Mumbai attacks? still the bombings are going on in the lives of the common man so cheap ? Have we forgotten the sacrifices of Maj Unikrishnan and did not take any lessons from the Mumbai attacks and still the lives of so many citizens and our forces at risk ? The Nation has faced so many challenges in the past 64 years and we have proudly overtaken them but when will we stop playing lives of our men aren't they the part of us the India? Can't we get the money back to India and make it a better place to live and a secure nation where even a soldier who gives his life to protect the nation can go to the heavenly abode peacefully with a promise that the money meant for his family is not taken by the corrupt babus and there is somebody to look after his family. Just hoping for a day when the real feeling of patriotism will come in the masses and we can have a safe and a healthy India.
